The Sebright is a classic East End pub, the giant portrait of Frank Sinatra (looks like it's from the album cover of "Come Dance With Me") behind the small stage gives the game away immediately. There's live music on most nights, where a pretty decent band backs an assortment of singers, from local celebrities, to pretty much anyone else in the audience. Everyone is applauded enthusiastically and couples even get up and dance. Everyone knows everybody in the pub, but they're not unfriendly to newcomers - as long as a little respect and consideration for others in the pub are shown. The beer is not anything to write home about, but then that's not why you come here. The service is friendly and the Sunday lunches have a good reputation, although we've yet to sample them. Forget the Queen Vic, get down here and see what real East Enders do.
