A pleasant little pub run by people who know how to pour a Guinness and with some real ales on the hand pumps too. The décor, especially the beams, looks a bit contrived (we guess aiming to mimic a ship), but this doesn't detract from the general conviviality of the place. Just off the beaten track enough for it to miss most of the commuters heading back to Fenchurch Street Station, but it can get quite full at times, owing to its small floor area.
