how to find it:

From Dalston Kingsland train station, exit left and take the first left onto Bradbury Street. At the end the the street cross over onto St Jude street and the pub is on the left, a short way up.

picture of Old Henrys Free House (ex-Railway Tavern)We thought we knew Dalston's pubs pretty well and as such it was certainly a surprise to discover Old Henry's Free House, on the back streets not far from Dalston train station. Its a traditional style boozer, with decor identifiable from the 70s, 80s and 90s but overall quite homely. There's a couple of ales on the pumps, some basic food and a pretty mixed clientele. If you're in the area its worth popping in for a refresher, but probably isn't one to make a special journey for.
