picture of Round TableThis may be a fairly standard former TJ & Bernard pub, which like all its brothers and sisters has been given a sympathetic makeover, but the Round Table has certain advantages over some other nearby pubs. Primarily its often rather less busy than you'd expect for as place so close to Leicester Square and it consequently has the friendly relaxed service of somewhere that doesn't get perpetually mobbed at peak times. Upstairs too (which also doubles as a space for hosting comedy nights), can prove useful if you prefer sitting to standing. Its quite dark inside, with exposed brickwork and wood making up most of the decor, while the only windows look out into what is essentially an alley, but there's a couple of ales on tap (Greene King IPA and London Pride) and a clientele consisting of more than just office workers and tourists. Not a bad place at all, considering.
