how to find it:

Old Street: Make sure you take one of the exits for Old Street West. If you end up on the south side of the street, it's about two minutes ahead on the left. If you end up on the North side of the street, again it's about two minutes, but then across the road.

picture of Litten TreeEnormous but still friendly pub, in the Wetherspoon mould, just off the Old Street roundabout. Even on a Friday afternoon it seemed quite empty. We couldn't work out why as the beer is good (the Litten Tree Best an excellent choice ), the food looked fab (and cheap) if slightly pubbe nouveau. The only real drawback was the slightly loud music which might not be to everyone's taste. Besides a full menu, there are conference function room facilities somewhere on the premises. Also there two large screen tellies for sport (with numerous small versions scattered about), and we've heard a vague rumour about live music (not confirmed ). Worth a look-in as it's miles better than most of the City pubs which are within easy gobbing distance.
