Not surprisingly for the area, this is very much a pub for the tourists - the flags of all nations festooned around the place are a bit of a giveaway. It's been given the old rustic pub interior décor treatment, which is a bit of a shame as the old place was OK - a normal boozer, but a bit shabby. It's also a pretty big place, serves decent enough food and drink and is not too badly priced (at least for London) given the area. Service was friendly, although it was pretty quiet last time we were in. We wonder the service would be like with a few coach parties in there. Whilst the committed pub goer might spend more effort looking for something a little less formulaic, if you're thirsty and/or hungry and in the neighbourhood, you might as well pop in.
