picture of King HaroldThis large, lively, friendly local shows how it should be done. OK, the beer won't have CAMRA members creaming their jeans, but there's enough of a range to keep all but the most fussy drinkers happy and the service is friendly, prompt and attentive. The locals are more than fine with outsiders being in their pub and there're loads of activities to keep people happy (even a large beer garden in case we get something resembling a summer). Any time of day it seems to have a buzzing clientele. Long may it last, cheers!
