Not the most salubrious location, being betwixt Manor House and Finsbury Park, but this traditional style pub still does a fair job. Always nice to see Deuchars on the pumps and the Thai food looked pretty decent too. Expect traditional roasts on a Sunday and punters chancing a drink out in the nice back garden (complete with heat lamps for those winter smokers). There's plenty of nice old features and the high ceilings associated with Victorian public houses, along with the added entertainment of a sports screen and a pool table. A mix of older drinkers blend happily enough with younger flat-sharers and coupled with genuinely friendly service, there's a good ambience all round. For the area, not a bad one at all.
