If it wasn't for the flat-screen TV and modern taps on the bar it would be easy to forget you're in the 21st century upon entering the Auld Triangle (or according to its signage outside -- The uld riangle). Very little seems to have changed in this pub for many years, though we certainly don't mean this as a criticism. It seems to serve the locals well, but the friendly welcome we received showed the hospitality is afforded to all - in fact it actually appears quite difficult not to get sucked into a conversation at the bar. Add to the mix some of the cheapest Guinness in London outside of a Wetherspoon and it always seems rude not to stay for one more than we intended. We've heard there used to be a talent night many moons ago, mainly consisting of old men playing the spoons, but unlike in the gastropubs invading all corners of the city we saw no signs of cutlery here on our visit.
