picture of The Twelve PinsThe sheer size of The Twelve Pins and its proximity to Finsbury Park station limit its appeal a little, but it's not really so bad. The interior is quite magnificent, if a little careworn, a good example of a Victorian pub interior. The varied mix of punters seem oblivious to its charms, content to drink quietly and keep themselves to themselves, and there's a decent drop of Guinness to be had here. The pub shows Gaelic football and hurling matches, and has regular appearances by Irish bands - it gets lively when Banjaxed are on.
