how to find it:
Leave Leicester Square and head towards Covent Garden (away from Leicester Square). After a short walk you will get to a junction with five roads, turn right down Garrick Street and walk to the end. The pub should be almost straight in front of you on New Row. From Covent Garden turn left and walk along Long Acre and turn sharp left down Garrick Street when you get to the big junction. Walk to the end as above.

It looks OK from the outside, a traditional pub (the Swan we seem to recall) that's been fitted out with stuff from the Irish theme pub parts bin. If you stay in there for more than a few minutes you'll realise just how fake it is. It's full of idiot tourists whose closest experience of Ireland is either from watching a video of the Commitments/Michael Collins/The Field or from hearing a Corrs album. As soon as the diddley-dee music starts they're all up on their feet thinking they can do the fucking River Dance. Avoid it.
