how to find it:

Notting Hill Gate: Leave the station by the exit for Portobello Road and proceed down Pembridge Road until you get to Portobello Road. Pub is on the corner.

picture of Sun In SplendourAnother one of Mitchells & Butlers loungey refits, you'll find a decent range of beers from both the UK and the continent, and a reasonable menu of modern British pub grub, priced for the area. And that is the problem. Anyone going to Portobello Road from Notting Hill tube will pass this attractive looking pub and as a result it suffers the consequences. Weekday evenings aren't too bad though. Should be a three pinter, but the crowds of tourists force us to downgrade it. Sorry. Though if you do follow the crowds in, do sneak a peak at the secret garden (which is where you'll find the smokers).
