picture of The CrownA big old pub right in the centre of Blackheath, with a front terrace. The Crown's central location makes it a popular meeting place with the locals, so it's often packed at weekends (especially in summer). There's nothing remarkable about the fare - the lack of pubs in the area probably goes a long way to explaining its popularity. There are several, regularly changing, real ales on offer such as Deuchars IPA and Abbot. The Crown is best appreciated during the week; at weekends, you might prefer somewhere quieter.
