how to find it:

From Moorgate, take the escalator by Boots up to the High Walk, walk straight ahead, then turn left and walk past Young Bin (the Korean restaurant) to London Wall. Turn right and walk towards the big building that straddles London Wall (Alban Gate) and you'll soon see the pub on your right, just before you get to it. From St Paul's: head towards the museum of London, use the foot bridge to cross London Wall, staying on the High Walk turn right and walk along it, under Alban Gate. You'll see the pub after you've passed under the building.

picture of The PodiumThis place has hardly changed over the years - a lick of paint here and there and modern plasma screens for the footy, but by and large it sticks to a tried and trusted formula. Beer (IPA and Abbot on the hand pumps), food and entertainment machines for the workers around. It's not one you'd go out of your way for, but if you happen by, it's a handy refuelling stop.
