how to find it:

Exit Woodside Park tube via platform 1 and head straight up the Woodside Park Road until you come to High Road. Cross over and turn right down the hill. The pub is about 500 meters further down. If you walk past Woolworth's you have gone too far.

picture of The Autumn HouseThis huge bar on Finchley High Road appears to be is the closest thing the area has to a trendy night-spot. Inside, the front is well laid out, with a mixture of tables and clusters of couches. However, on our early evening weekend visit even though it was still fairly quiet, all the seats had already been taken. This was because the entire back half of the bar was devoid of furniture, clearly gearing up for the weekend crowds to descend. The arrival of the DJ testified to this. Ultimately, if you're after a quiet drink and some cheap food, this place will serve you quite well during the early part of the week, but our advice is only come on a weekend evening if you hanker after a bit of partying in Finchley.
