how to find it:

From Chalk Farm, your best bet is to use an A-Z. It's easier to get to the pub from Regent's Park, with Princess Road being very close to the exits from London Zoo on Albert Road.

picture of The Albert Not surprising for the area, the Albert is an old pub that had an upgrade a few years ago now. With good, fresh food being served at inflated Primrose Hill prices, it would be easy to argue that this is a pub bordering on gastro territory. However, it's still distinctively a pub, even if the stripped interior and country kitchen tables simply mean a slightly more modern version. Plenty of old-school locals still pop by and the atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming. A great beer garden, complete with an Apple Tree in the middle, only adds to The Albert's charms. Relaxed and pleasant - a very good one for this neck of the woods.
