It would be all too easy to make a jokey reference to the name of this pub...so we will. As such, the biggest surprise for us here was the difference between the unappealing exterior, compared to the cosy, wood-panelled, picture-festooned interior. We partly attributed this to the use of slatted blinds, which might've looked OK in a bathroom in 1992, but simply don't suit a pub. This is another of the handful of Pimlico pubs aimed squarely at the locals - and when we say locals, we mean the ones from the council estate over the road, not from the adjacent Vincent Square. Still, they seemed harmless enough and we could just get on with the business of having a pleasant drink in a normal, simple boozer. Finally to note, if you come in via the front door, you might miss the larger back bar, complete with pool table and darts; to go from one bar to the other however, women have to exit the pub though one door and come in though the other, while the men can use the gents as a shortcut.
