An archetypal West End pub, this one blends in with a part of town that abounds in cheap pizza stalls and tourist-friendly Steakhouses. It's made up of three floors, though it's always a bit of a lottery as to which ones are open, as the upstairs is more often than not hired out for office leaving parties and the basement bar (which has a late licence) usually has some entertainment on offer (karaoke, live bands, comedy etc). That leaves the ground floor, where the bar is ringed by alcopops and bottles of wine on special offer. It's the sort of pub that leaves a tray for tips at the bar, even though the staff's social skills are rarely on show. A handy enough pub if you're in the West End of an evening, though it's hardly one to go out of your way for.
