how to find it:

From Chalk Farm: Turn left out of the station and cross the road at the lights. The pub is about 5 minutes walk on the left. From: Camden Town: Turn right out of the station onto Camden High Street and follow it around until it meets Chalk Farm Road. About 7 minutes walk on the right.

picture of Monarch (ex Misty Moon, ex Man in the Moon)Well, it didn't last long as Misty Moon after being sold by Wetherspoons and now a temporary sign indicates this place is called Monarch. Inside little has changed here - it still has the look and feel of a Wetherspoons, complete with cheap food. Live bands seem to be on the cards now, including some we know used to play at the now closed Carnarvon Castle. An alternative crowd seem to mix with older regulars and a scattering of tourists. We'll be back soon for a fuller review.
