sorry no picture of this pubThe Red Lion may never be in danger of being voted Oxford's top pub, but there is always room for a cheap and cheerful option -- so perhaps it could gain an award for the city's best credit crunch choice. Its prices already attract numerous students, with it possible to get a drink and something edible for around 4 pounds, or on our last visit a pint of Bass for half that amount. It might not impress on a first date and probably isn't the place to take clients, but makes a good starting point to an evening out due to its central location. The drinks selection is extensive, the sheer size means there is a good chance of finding seats, while a back garden provides another bonus.
