This one should be familiar to any shopper on Oxford Street, right by Bond Street Station and at the head of South Molton Street - favoured by clothes shoppers - it's a hard pub to miss. It's not much of a place, actually, carrying a pretty standard range of beers, including real ales on the hand pumps, and it pushes the food heavily - which is why many people come into this place. But it's nothing special and comes at a premium price - even if you use one of the discount cards scattered around the place. The service is OK and keeps up well with the relentless waves of footsore, hungry and thirsty people coming and going with their large carrier bags (and probably larger credit card bills). It's location means it doesn't have to try too hard to pull in the punters and in the evenings it packs in crowds meeting up for a drink or two before moving on to clubs in the West End. On Friday nights it has a late (1:00am) licence and hosts karaoke.
