The Windmill is a back street boozer which is torn between catering to locals from the nearby housing estates and the overflow of office workers, both of whom drink here at various times. Despite it's proximity to the Thames and the civil servant heavy Horseferry Road, this still looks and feels like an unreconstructed pub, notwithstanding the couple of Chesterfield couches. A mediocre selection of beer and a pretty depressing smoking area (at the back, go through the ladies toilet door) make this one of the less endearing pubs in the area. It's still a two pint pub, but not one we can see ourselves visiting much.
