sorry no picture of this pubThe Globe is something of a surprise, being simply a normal, decent pub in the pedestrianised maelstrom of Leicester city centre, surrounded by a Barracuda pub, O'Neill's, Lloyds No1, a Litten Tree and various other terrible townie haunts. It's an old building and various original bits still remain - some tiled floors and a few divided off areas caught our eye. Being an Everards pub there's a pretty good choice of ale - we spied three or four available - and some cling film wrapped sarnies at £1.50 for those want to soak up that late night alcohol. You'll find a wide variety of customers, with older fellas and couples happily mixing with the Goths and rockers who come here for a cheeky pint before going off clubbing. Overall this is a congenial, pleasant watering hole, especially considering the area.
