Before the Grosvenor Arms closed down in 2006, it was one of the more unpleasant pubs we've reviewed: with extraction so poor it would make a 60-a-day smoker's eyes water in the fug, everything about this place was wrong. As such, we were glad to discover it has reopened under new management. Inside it's a small, pretty pub with a cosy ambience and comfortable seating. Service was excellent and the only ale on tap (Flowers IPA) was reasonably kept. A blackboard offered a small but hearty-looking selection of pub grub, with prices perfectly reasonable for the area. If we had to criticise, we noticed too many signs indicating that the toilets are for customers only (otherwise a £1 charge applies); we didn't know Saville Row shoppers warranted such notices. Music was a bit odd, too, with some sort of Club Classics CD being the flavour of the day; it wasn't loud enough to be annoying, though, so we didn't mind. It was however oddly quiet here compared to other nearby pubs (we counted a single group of eight people) which was a shame, as there's not much wrong here.
