how to find it:
Piccadilly Circus: leave the tube and head down Piccadilly towards the Ritz (travelling on the left hand site of the road), pausing to look in Fortnum's window. just before you get to it, turn left down Arlington Street and you should see the pub in front of you on the corner. Green Park: head up Piccadilly to the Ritz, turn right just past it (Arlington Street) and you should see the pub.

Given the area, you'd expect this pub to be pretty posh - but it's not. It's a typical town pub with a heavy emphasis on feeding and watering the local working population, so lunchtimes and early evenings it's dark with suits. Tourists also pop in here and that just about sums the place up: a safe, unremarkable pub, albeit one that can cope with big crowds. So then, an average boozer occupying above average real estate. And - rather oddly - one that was showing Murder She Wrote when we once stopped by.
