how to find it:
Come out of Hyde Park Corner tube and turn left down Knightsbridge. Look for sign on the left for Old Barrack Yard - it looks like a dodgy back alley. Turn left down this lane and then right when you see the sign for the Grosvenor Estate. This brings you on to Wilton Row and the pub is at the end of this alley.

The Ritchies used to pop in here every now and again apparently (Guy and Madonna, not Shane). But don't let that put you off. This is another one of those small Knightsbridge pubs you would expect to find in the middle of Suffolk, but maybe not the middle of London. As you'd expect from the name, military memorabilia hangs from the walls of both the bar and the small dining area at the back, and there is an air of old-fashioned gentility about the place. Unfortunately, the stuck-up nature of some the clientele can be a bit off-putting, but the professional staff and the general ambience of the pub make up for it. It's a small place, so a visit out of peak times is recommended if you want to get a seat.
