picture of The CrownThis is a typical Beefeater pub - very large, typically out-of-town situated, family-oriented and geared up for those eating more than anything else. This one, near Bromley common is more of the same. The restaurant is the key factor here and it's not really a place for the boozing crowd. They do though have some interesting bottled ciders as well as the standard sort of stuff, but we found the fact they would only sell certain beers in half pints was a bit of a let down (we're not sure what that's all about.) The garden has become a bit more of a crowd puller in more recent times, especially with a younger, smoking crowd, the music plays outside and there's quite a lot of seating, which seems to get reasonably busy at the weekends. Generally, it is what you might expect from a large chain, predominantly restaurant-type place, and as such it does an OK job.
