picture of The CubanOnce upon a time Camden's Stables Market contained a rough and ready but bone fide market - we clearly remember traders selling piles of old shoes and various tat. The 1990's seem a long time ago though, and it's now as much of a destination for tourists and weekend drinkers as it is for alternative types and bargain hunters. Indication of this is the number of eating and drinking venues which have popped up inside the market over the last few years - and The Cuban is one of them. Part of a small chain whose idea of Cuba must come from a parallel universe, its set in an impressive old stable and filled with booths down on side with the bar running along the opposing wall. Due to its location and architecture its pretty nice here - dark and atmospheric - save for a flow people using the bar as a shortcut or wandering tourists looking for clothes stalls. For a bite to eat and a couple of drinks its pretty nice here - just don't go expecting anything close to a genuine Cuban bar experience.
