sorry no picture of this pubTaking its name from the first half of the village in which it is situated, the Otter is a bustling local pub which comfortably meets the needs of locals wanting a drink, or groups attracted from the surrounding area by its food. Five real ales help to keep the first group happy, while huge roast dinners should satisfy the others. There is also a separate restaurant section at the back and a secluded beer garden beyond that. Generally it is a perfect place for a relaxing drink, though for a bit more atmosphere there is a monthly visit by the Piano Man.' Whether this is actually the mysterious character who sparked great media interest after turning up dripping wet in Kent in 2005, or someone who likes to play hit tunes by Billy Joel, we're not sure. Despite its quiet location, the pub is handily placed only moments away from Junction 12 of the M3 for any travellers in need of a pit stop. The large car park easily caters for anyone not within walking distance.
