First Class Sports Bar, Wembley  

Rather confusingly, this one looks like a cheque-cashing facility from the outside. But if you persevere, it turns into a bar once you get past the front door, albeit a bar chock-a-block with sports memorabilia; it ranges from cricket bats, balls and jumpers to boxing gloves (they've got one of Muhammad Ali's gloves in a case) to signed football shirts. And you can hardly miss the large blow-up on the wall of the original Wembley Stadium, in stark contrast to the modern version down the road a way. In fact, there's sporting photos on just about every available surface. As far as drink goes, there's more lager than anything else, with multiple Stella and Guinness taps denoting the brands of choice, with little for the real ale drinkers. If you're stuck for a place to go before a match or gig and the weather's good, there's a massive marquee outside the back, where you can even watch matches on the large plasma screens. Our verdict? Well, it's okay for a drink, but we'd not go out of our way for one here - unless we needed a cheque cashing.
