picture of The ParishThis tiny Irish pub does pretty much what it says on the (Guinness) tin - good beer and good craic. When we say it's small, any cat swinging has to be taken out of doors, otherwise you might damage the wallpaper or the glassware. Like most of the Irish pubs around this way, the Guinness (regular and cold) is excellent, but there's little to choose from in the real ale department unless you like John Smith's. This used to be one of those smoky Irish pubs you used to see on telly, but the smoking ban's put paid to that and it's practically liveable, regardless of the stale fag smell. It appears to have a dance floor down one end, but that may be in aid of the darts team as much as anything. There's sky on all the tellies and a decent jukebox with a pretty comprehensive selection. Unsurprisingly, its location just down from Wembley Park and near the main road does mean it fills with gig or match-goers prior to any events in the area, but it doesn't seem to get quite as manic as others nearby.
