sorry no picture of this pubAnother Manchester pub with a superb range of ales - both local (including the excellent Marble brewery) and from abroad. Situated under the railway arch this venue is heavy on brick - not a place you want to go if carpets or lush surroundings are your thing. Nor if you want a cheap drink, but then with a choice of at least four hand-pulled ales you get a fair trade off. It is not a pub that tries too hard, there is no Sky or jukebox to interfere with your conversation, although if you have a taste for bar billiards then this is your lucky day. It also serves good, home-cooked food and you are almost always sure to get a seat. Even at 5pm on a Saturday afternoon.
