picture of Jerusalem TavernNo stranger to those who have an interest in good beer and good public houses, The Jerusalem Tavern is a serious contender for nomination as one of the best pubs in London. Converted from a fabulous looking 18th century clockmaker's shop, it's the only pub in London owned by the Suffolk-based St. Peter's brewery. As such, you can usually expect to see their complete year-round range of excellent award-winning Ales, both in bottles and on tap. The place is tiny and the only negative we can attribute here is that it gets seriously busy quite often. After work is predictably crowded, with the lucky winners being the first 2 dozen local workers to arrive from their offices, but the crowds do die down towards closing time and that's when things relax and you can even get a seat. Overall, if you're lucky enough to find some free seats, the Dickensian feel of the place is perfect for a cosy winter's evening of warming ale and good conversation. Highly recommended.
