Turn right out of the station and continuing walking straight (crossing two roads) until you reach the Broad Marsh shopping centre and its rows of bus shelters. Head straight threw the mall and out into Nottingham city centre. Walk up Middle Hill and then continue up Fletcher gate when the two streets combine. Turn left at the end of this street onto Victoria street and follow this road until along the market square until you reach the Wetherspoons on your left. Total walking time is around 12 - 17 mins.

There is a word for pubs like the Wetherspoons and that word is abysmal. Every single aspect of this abomination is completely off the mark, whether it be the glossy mass-produced interior, the lager-heavy tap selection, the clear absence of a cleaning rota or the frequently under-prepared food. Even the bathroom taps didn't work and for the sake of the children don't get us started on the loo paper. However, towering above all these deformities like a hideous lump is the punch-drunk clientele that make any night, or indeed afternoon, a flirtation with loud cackling and some seriously threatening moments. A big fat zero of a pub and it's damn lucky to get that much.
