how to find it:
Kensington Olympia is the nearest tube, although its not the most helpful due to limited opening hours. Nevertheless, exit right out of the tube and walk down Olympia Way. When you come out onto Kensington High Street turn left and then take the second left, Holland Road. The pub is up on the right after a couple of minutes.

Stuck on the busy Holland Road, the Crown and & Sceptre looks like one of the earlier attempts at the 'stripped out' look. As such, its rather All Bar Oneish, albeit crossed with a (slightly peculiar) Mexican theme, giving it more personality and warmth. Inside, the front is a mishmash of couches and tables, not particularly well laid out, but the back section is more cosy. So on first impressions it didn't seem entirely promising, but we did warm to the place. A good selection of real ales on tap and friendly service were the first two positive signs, followed quickly by the added bonus of reasonably priced Mexican food (plus a few and British staples) on the menu. Its was a good sign to see a fair few apparently Mexican punters eating, and indeed the food turned out to be pretty good. And, now that the Radnor Arms is no more, it's a bit of a haven if you're trying to escape the teeming masses from nearby Olympia. Give it a go.
