Old Windmill, Coventry  

Theres not much of left Olde Coventry, what with the combined efforts of the Luftwaffe and Coventry Planning Department, but some of what remained was gathered up in the 70s and 80s and relocated to Spon Street, a partially surviving medieval thoroughfare. The Old Windmill, a listed building which dates back to the 16th century, is however one building which has always been here. As such, its has an authentic old world feel, helped in no uncertain terms by all those markers of authenticity and character: wonky frontage, low ceilings, little rooms, nooks, crannies and dark wood panelling. With some good ales served, along with some acceptable pub grub, its very easy to spend a relaxed afternoon here.
