sorry no picture of this pubA roundabout is a strange setting for a pub, but that is where the interest ends with the Ham & Blackbird. Like so many places in the Beefeater chain it is comfortable enough if you don't mind sitting in what looks like an oversized hotel lobby, though atmosphere is one ingredient conspicuous by its absence from the menu. It is handy for the train station and perhaps more suited to mainstream taste than the nearby Tumbledown Dick, with our Sunday visit finding its appeal to be mainly to families.
