The Fox & Hounds is just about the quintessential village pub. It's a picturesque 17th Century coaching inn on the village green, serving excellent locals beers and hearty pub grub. The pub is very much the social centre of this lovely village with something on most nights it seems and everyone seems to know everyone else here, but visitors are made to feel welcome too (and there are plenty of them with the many scenic attractions in these parts). There's decent cheap accommodation on offer in the pub and the service is friendly. What more could a pub fan want?
