sorry no picture of this pubOn the corner of one of the more bohemian back-streets of Brighton, the Heart and Hand is a pub which manages to appeal to a wide variety of locals. The traditional wonderful green tiled exterior and leaded glass shout 'traditional' while the fantastic vinyl jukebox displays its trendy credentials (in a retro Quadrophenia kind of way). So whilst a crescent of lively older locals prop up the bar, the more alternative Brighton scenesters come to give the place a little more atmosphere. With all this potential and with the Harvey's ales in good nick, it was a shame that the service wasn't up to much. Indeed, it seemed, as a non-regular faces, that we were pretty low in the pecking order to be served. Still, this aside, a great pub in a great area.
