sorry no picture of this pubIf you're of the opinion that all of the East End's boozers have been stripped out and relaunched as clinical gastropubs, then you probably haven't had a drink in this one for a while. Tucked away off Wapping Lane, this little local still pays homage to a Holy Trinity of pool, darts and Sky Sports. It's just a little off the beaten track and so misses out on the pub crawlers / walkers tackling the more famous pubs on the Thames path. That's not to say this one doesn't have historical connections - the Turner in question is JMW who owned a pub in the area - but it doesn't play them up to any great extent. Perhaps one more for the locals, but it still picks up a crowd from those who've worked up a thirst in the nearby sports centre.
