The Sovereign of The Seas, Petts Wood  

This is your typical suburban Wetherspoon, with the clientele being the usual mix of a young local crowd and the solitary older regulars making the most of the cheap guest beers. It's clear that no-one travels to come here, so it's what you might expect. Those out drinking in this area don't have much choice, it's either here or the pub over on the other side of the bridge. The latter tends to be the preferred option as unlike the Sovereign it has plenty of space, music, sport, a beer garden, and at least some degree of atmosphere which, like most Wetherspoon, this one is devoid of. We feel there are fewer Wetherspoon pubs that we find make the grade nowadays, and along with it's slightly dirty interior, this is one no exception.
