sorry no picture of this pubThe Queen's Head is an old town pub that's been given the modern bar treatment, but really only from the waist up! The old wooden furniture has been upholstered in a bold checkerboard pattern and otherwise at that level, not much has changed. But the top half of the pubs has been given new paintwork, new decoration, new graphics, lighting and a fairly modern look, creating a bit of disconcerting, schizophrenic look when the place is empty. We guess it doesn't matter too much once the place fills up and, unless you've overindulged won't ever get to notice the floor and furniture. The booze is decent enough, wine and cocktails being featured, and if you're hungry there are organic baguettes.
