Come out of the train station onto Station Road, turn right onto the high street (Shenley Road). The pub is on the right just before the parade of shops stop (a few minutes walking).

picture of Hart and SpoolThe usual JD Wetherspoon experience, this time on a 1960s built high street in zone 6. Due to the relatively captive audience, there's a fair mixture of folk even though, as usual, old men seem to be the ones keeping the JD Wetherspoon empire in business. Friday and Saturday evenings finds younger locals warming up before moving onto places more expensive but more exciting. There may not be much competition in the nearby area, but it doesn't make drinking here any less depressing.
