sorry no picture of this pubA comfortable and welcoming large pub, with friendly staff and efficient, polite, service. Busy with young and old, all civil and sociably vivacious, when we popped in, the pub has a very reasonable selection of drinks, with several lagers, three real ales on hand pumps, and a fair array of wines and fruity nonalcoholic beverages too. The only quibble is, that as part of a chain, The Railway is just a tad generic as regards its fittings, appearance, and so on. Still, there are worse chains than Ember, and it is in the running for the title of 'best pub a stone's throw from a tube station at the Eastern end of the District line', for what that's worth.
