how to find it:
By nature of its location, travelling here by car might seem a necessity, so an A-Z is your best bet. If you want to walk, like we did, catch the 215 bus from Walthamstow to its terminus at Lee Valley Campsite, turn left onto Sewardstone road and walk for about 15-20 minutes. The pub will be a welcome sight on the right.

A huge barn of a place, the Plough's faux twee stylings and corporate-looking nature make this McMullen's pub look a bit like a Harvester restaurant. Still, no-one here seems to really mind. Whereas the more upmarket day-trippers and hotel guests gather at the Bakers Arms 25 yards up the road, Chingford residents and locals seem to prefer it here at the Plough. Thus, a fair display of Sovereign rings and large hooped earrings can often be seen, as well as more children than a pub ideally needs. As with pubs in this kind of location, it makes the most of the weekends and their Sunday carvery is popular, selling out pretty quickly, leaving acceptable pub grub for the rest of the time. Not one of the best pubs in the world, but acceptable on most fronts.
