picture of Duke of ClarenceOffering a slightly more formal pub experience than the slouchy Drayton Arms across the road, the Duke of Clarence is another decent enough member of the Geranium Inns family. The gastro green exterior and stripped out interior are familiar enough from a hundred other refits, but the TV showing the football shows this one isn't just for the foodies. On the pumps we found Adnams and Sharp's Doom Bar and on the menu a familiar selection of modern pub grub. Perhaps not the most distinctive pub you'll ever visit but a decent enough one all the same. Oh, and on visiting, keep your eye out for any lost looking Goths: in a previous life, this one was an Eerie Pub Co mock horror den called the Bram Stoker.
