picture of The Jolly FarmersThis is a very pleasant little local's boozer, in an area that seriously lacks pubs with character, making this one something of a haven. It has a genuine traditional and country farmhouse type feel to it, lots of dark wood and barrels constitute the furniture and it's sort of dusky and dimly lit inside. Various old casks other old drinking trinkets decorate the place along with historical pictures and paintings. You could quite easily forget you are sitting in the heart of Lewisham. A good range of drinks is available including some cask ales, imported international beers and decent wine. The food menu also stretches beyond the ordinary. A notably good range of newspapers are available and enjoyed by the happy locals.
