picture of The Millers WellPretty much a bog-standard Wetherspoon, all things told. Located in what appears to have once been some kind of municipal building (and opposite the glorious redbrick late Victorian Town Hall), the exterior of the Miller's Well is entirely generic. Inside, there's rather an excessive amount of framed stuff with tenuous connections to millers, wells, or the greater East End. As usual, there's a good selection of beers, ciders and perries, and cheap food, which when we visited, seemed rather popular. This is quite a sizeable place, and we saw it fill up pretty rapidly after the end of a Hammers game (another pub down the road having catered for supporters while the game was on). Although a bit devoid of atmosphere, especially when quiet, this is nonetheless probably one of the better pubs in the area.
