Coming here at 11.30 on a Saturday night expecting to write a decent review was probably a mistake. Having passed on a couple of occasions earlier in the evening, we saw it pleasantly filled. Now, however, think of a rush-hour Victoria Line train and you're close to imagining how busy it was. The limited seating around the edge of the room looked like a job-lot of Kwik-fit reception furniture and battling valiantly through the throng were two waiters taking drinks orders. A nice touch, seeing as the journey from the front door (guarded by a most amiable bouncer) to order drinks seemed like a lot of effort. Musically, the 'jazz' in the bar's name seemed absent, only coming close with a couple of Sinatra numbers, as the (not very good) DJ seemed to prefer, without any irony, 70s and 80s cheesy-pop. Luckily, the up-for-it trendy crowd did too. Certainly a place with potential, hopefully our next visit will find the place filled with better music and less people.
