O'Neill's pubs get a bit of a verbal beating on Fancyapint?, in part due to the fact that a lot of them are not very good. Either afterwork hangouts or tourist traps, the faux diddley-dee Irish theme is getting as tired and as riverdancing leprechaun. However, this little one - tucked behind the BT Tower on the way to nowhere in particular - fares just that bit better. Its location makes it feel more like a local's pub (even though its not) and the service and atmosphere work pretty well here for us. We even saw someone upstairs apparently using an internal phone to order drinks at the downstairs bar - most useful if you're in the middle of a game of pool.
